Merry Christmas

Dad had to work this morning, so we haven't gotten into gifts, yet. Of course, that's not what Christmas is about. We're spending the day with my sister, Emily, her husband, his parents and my neice, Sarah. I'm glad there's family so close.

Merry Christmas to everyone. I hope you are near dear family and friends.

the end prompting a begining

I have moved out of the college apartment that I have lived in for the last two and a half years. My room is bare and actually clean. I hung my key on the wall and locked myself out. Very weird.

So, it appears that I have passed all my classes, even calculus. It's really over. Again, very weird. I don't quite feel finished. I still have to send in my grad school applications and write a report on what I used my ORCA grant for. The apps will go out on Tuesday, but the essay will be harder. I have to write about the hectic summer I had with Lynda in Northampton. Writing it up means reliving it. Ugh.

Now all I have to do is relax and prepare for grad school auditions in Feb. Starting a new path in life is a little daunting but incredibly exciting.

Graduation Looming

My headshots look great. Cyd was a lot of fun to work with. She even took a few shots of Laura, who came home with me for the weekend, to help her prepare for her own shoot some time in the future. I'm very happy with the looks I have. And I love the shirt I bought for the shoot.

The weekend was about as relaxing as it could be knowing that I had another week and a half of school left. I still have two huge final papers and a couple performances to round out the semester. Finals shouldn't be too bad. I think I will get Calculus out of the way early in the week. Oh, we have tests in the testing center so that we can take them at our leisure. I also have my religion class in the testing center. Otherwise, I have them scheduled in class. I really can't wait for this to be over. FREEDOM!
